EGENCO intends to install 10MW Solar PV Power Plant with battery at Nanjoka Salima
The purpose is to add generation capacity to the national grid but also increase EGENCO's generation mix to reduce reliance on Hydro power plants cascaded along the Shire river which are prone to compounding devastation in case of dire irregularities in the flow of the Shire and any disasters. This in turn will help in the stability of the national grid.
